Immaculate Conception is beginning to clean and prepare a specified school garden space. This space will be maintained by our students. Gardening in our school has many benefits to students, learning about the cycle of life, learning about responsibility of Earth and impacts of land cultivation. A sense of pride and ownership over the garden has boundless effects for our students. We are especially dedicated to creating this space for our students as Yuma is depending on the agricultural that provides for our community.
We are petitioning parents for peat moss & soil for our garden. This would allow us to provide opportunities for all our students to participate in planting, watering, maintaining and harvesting.
Please contact the front office to learn how to participate in this project!
